PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board has an unusually short agenda for it’s February meeting tonight. The meeting will start with recognition of the Lakota National Invitational Team Champions and State Assessment perfect score recipients. The Board will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with a report from the Riggs Student Senate. The only items requiring action from the Board are typical requests like open student enrollments, donation items, contract items and any retirements and resignations. While tonight’s meeting may be shorter, the Board has more work to do this week. Board president Joan Adam said at the December meeting the Board intends to hold final interviews with candidates for Pierre School District Superintendent on Friday. The Board plans on naming a new superintendent at that meeting. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the District Administration Building. The meeting is open to the community. Details on the Friday meeting have not been announced.
