PIERRE, (KCCR) — There is good news and bad news coming from the Hughes County Courthouse regarding the valuation of your property and paying that bill. Equalization Director Eric Booth says valuations have increased slightly slower than last year…
Meanwhile Finance Officer Thomas Oliva says tax bills will be in your mailbox soon…
Oliva added during his report to the Hughes County Commission last week that he is busy with Primary election preparation and the upcoming legislative session. So far nine election-related bills have been filed in this year’s legislative session. One of those bills, Senate Bill 66 would ban the use of automatic ballot tabulators and electronic ballot marking equipment.
