The Stanley County Buffaloes will be back at home after playing Highmore-Harrold on the road Tuesday as the girls and boys host McLaughlin in a doubleheader tonight.
Both McLaughlin teams are coming in at 2-4 as the Lady Buffs will look for the first win of the season at 0-7. The Mustangs have back-to-back wins after starting at 0-4 with wins over Crow Creek and Dupree. Stanley County struggled with the Highmore-Harrold press and will look for better results with or without a McLaughlin press.
The Buffalo boys are 5-0 and looking to remain unbeaten against the Mustangs. After a slower start than usual, Stanley County still swarmed out to a 33 point win behind Eddie Duffy’s big second quarter. The Buffs continue to get contributions from everybody but Paxton Deal and Duffy still are the 1-2 punch for Stanley County. McLaughlin has wins over Herried/Selby Area and Lakota Tech but have dropped two straight including a 30 point loss to Dupree last Saturday.
The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 6:30 with the girls game and the boys game will follow from the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
