The Pierre Governor girls basketball team will host the first of two games this week as the Harrisburg Tigers and Govs are both looking to get back to .500 on the season.
Both teams are 2-3 on the season as both have lost two straight coming into tonight last playing on Saturday. The Govs lost to both Spearfish and Bismarck to end 2025 and begin 2026 while Harrisburg dropped a contest to undefeated Washington and Mitchell, both at home. Molly Olson led the Govs with 14 points in the loss to Bismarck at home while Logan Durnil had 12 points to lead the Tigers in the loss to the Kernels. Pierre is wanting to start to rack up wins as the first quarter of the season is done. Pierre will also host Washington on Saturday.
