Their last three games have been a competitive three games seeing a lot of improvements in multiple aspects of the game. Offense, defense, and full court press breaks. The Chargers have given the top B teams fits in the last three games.
In a make up game in what was suppose to be the season opener for both team took place a month later in Ipswich for a Region 6B contest. The Ipswich Lady Tigers who were second overall in the Class B standings entered Tuesday night with a 5-0 record while the Sully Buttes Chargers were seeking their second win of the season after a win on last Saturday. A slow first half led to a 44-33 loss against the Lady Tigers.
A lack of scoring in the first quarter and easy opportunities for Ipswich gave them a 12-4 lead after one quarter of play. The zone defense would pay dividends for the Chargers causing Ipswich to create their own turnovers and sometimes passing the ball too much. The Chargers couldn’t capitalize on the turnovers however. The full court press got to the Chargers as well with the Lady Tigers taken advantage of turnovers to take a 26-12 after one half of play.
