The Stanley County boys basketball team is now 4-0 on the season with a 75-45 win over Herreid/Selby Area while the girls would fall 65-23 Friday night in Fort Pierre.
In the first game of the night, the Wolverines held an 18 point lead at the break and then picked up a 30 point lead after three quarters as the Lady Buffaloes remain winless at now 0-6 on the season. Addy Deal had the team high 13 points on the night as the Lady Buffs got three from Austyn Norman in the first quarter.
In the boys game, Stanley County held just a seven point lead at halftime but would outscore Herried/Selby 37-14 in the second half to cruise to a 30 point victory. Jack Deal had a monster night as he would finish with 20 points as he and Paxton Deal finished with the game high. Eddie Duffy also hit double figures with 12 points while Trevor Caldwell also had 11. The Buffs remain unbeaten at 4-0 as they are off to one of the best starts in program history.
Stanley County will travel to Highmore-Harrold on Tuesday for a girls and boys doubleheader. The girls will play first around 6:30 with the boys game to follow from the Hyde County Auditorium.
