PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Capital Area United Way is looking to make one final push to reach it’s 2026 Campaign goal. Executive Director Becky Spoehr says 90-percent of the 2026 Campaign’s goal has been met and the inaugural Great Grocery Giveaway looks to push that to 100-percent. From now until January 16th at noon, community members who donate 26-dollars or more to the Capital Area United Way will automatically be entered into a chance to with two-thousand, 26-dollars; 2026…in gift cards to Dakotamart. The cards are being sponsored by Oahe Federal Credit Union. Every 26-dollar donation equals one entry while every 100-dollar donation will equal four entries, meaning the more you donate the more opportunity to win just over two-grand in groceries. The winners will be selected at noon on January 16th. Spoehr says the giveaway is a fun way for donors to support local programs while having the chance to win something meaningful for their family.
