For the second time in two weekends the Oahe Lady Capitals will take on the Watertown Lakers at the Expo Center while also traveling to Rapid City Sunday to face the Thunder.
The Capitals grabbed a 6-2 win over the Lakers last Saturday before than beating Mitchell on Sunday, but Saturday night the Caps want to go to 2-0 against the Lakers before facing the Rushmore Thunder, also for the second time this season. The Capitals also are 1-0 against the Thunder with an 8-4 home win on November 28. The Caps are 6-2 so far on the season, but have scored 13 goals in the last two games after having scored 13 in four games prior. 4-3 Watertown begins the weekend facing Sioux Falls at home tonight before traveling to Fort Pierre while the 4-7 Rushmore Thunder will only play on Sunday coming in having won three straight and four of five. The Thunder beat the Aberdeen Cougars twice in Rapid City last weekend. Avery Eggers leads the Thunder with eight goals. The Caps have stayed balanced with nine different skaters with goals and eight of the night have two or more led by Dakota McEntaffer’s six.
Capital City Rock will have both games this weekend starting on Saturday with coverage starting at 5:40 and puck drop at 6:00 with Sunday’s game being coverage at 1:40 with puck drop at 2:00 Central Time in Rapid City.
