PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The Commission has a light agenda with a consent calendar to tackle. Four items make up the calendar including claims approval, meeting minute approval and setting two public hearings for 5:45 pm on December 23rd. The first is for a Hay Lease and the second for a landfill farmland lease. The is no unfinished business for the Commission. In new business, Commissioners will consider a software agreement for Paradigm in the Solid Waste Department and a request to purchase maintenance materials for the Street Department. Second reading of a 2025 budget supplement will be given for the pickleball lighting project and Commissioners will discuss 2026 salary policy and the 2026 meeting schedule for the City Commission. Commissioners will present any dialogue they may have to close out the meeting. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
