Charlee Williams-Smith, senior at Pierre, would sign her National Letter of Intent Monday to run for the Track and Field team at Montana State University.
William-Smith is a state champion in the 400 meters last year winning the Gold Medal, the fastest time of all three classes running at 55.63 also setting a PR with the title. She also was a state champion in the 4×200 last year with the help of Lennix DuPris, Emlyn Swanson and Kali Ringstmeyer. Williams-Smith has qualified and placed in a total of 10 events at the state meet dating back to her freshman year along with the two state championships in her junior year. With the 400 being one of her specialties, she is already barely two seconds away from clipping the Montana State school record.
