The Sully Buttes wrestling teams would open the season on Saturday traveling down to Fort Pierre as the Charger girls would place third as a team while the boys would finish in 11th.
For the Sully Buttes boys, the Chargers would finish with Damian Garcia in the 132 and AJ Olivier in the 150 each placing third while Hayden Fessler in the 285 would finish in fourth place.
The Sully Buttes girls would score a total of 61 points, 19 points behind Stanley County and 19.5 behind Lemmon. Sully Buttes would get three weight class champions on Saturday with Tahnie Yellow Hawk in the 120, Cateri Yellow Hawk in the 130 and Paige Jonas in the 140 each grabbing the wins. Cheyenne Fuller also made the championship match in the 155 placing second and Adela Ramirez would be third in the 115.
