Saturday, the Stanley County boys and girls wrestling teams would each get second place in its home invite as the boys competed for the second time in three days while the girls opened its season.
The Stanley County boys would score a 135 with only Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall placing higher at 217.5 points. Six of the 10 weight classes would reach the championship match for the Buffaloes including Case Kolda winning his weight class at 157. Mason Stoeser in the 106, Jeff Knight in the 113, Gunner Schreiber in the 126, Landon Bame in the 150 and Sayth Cronin in the 190 would all place second. Coy Ludemann and Ryland Magee would each place third with Ezra Rutherford placing fourth.
For the Lady Buffaloes, they finished just half a point out of first place with Lemmon scoring an 80.5 and the Lady Buffs at 80 points. Four of the five girls would make the championship matches with Timber Hanson in the 105 and Gracie Rutherford in the 125 winning their weight classes. Londyn Allen-Hunsaker in the 105 and Kamora Rutherford in the 130 each placed second.
