FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County Commission is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. Commissioners will receive the Treasurer and Auditor’s report and will get an update from Veterans Service Officer Mike Mullen. The Commission will hear a bridge inspection report from Bruce Wilsey from Brosz Engineering and will meet with Highway Superintendent Lee Smith. Commissioners will consider the resignation of a Highway Department employee and will discuss desks for the Director of Equalization. The Commission will have under consideration contracts with the Hughes County Jail for adult and juvenile services along with a contract with the Fort Pierre Volunteer Firefighters Association and Memorandum of Understanding with South Dakota State University for 2026 4-H services. Other agenda items include an automatic budget supplement for Fairgrounds Maintenance and an executive session for personnel. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five -pm in the Stanley County Courthouse Commission chambers on the bottom floor. The Commission’s final meeting of the year is December 22nd.
