PIERRE, (KCCR) — A full agenda greets the Pierre City Commission tonight. Two items begin the meeting in special business. The city will discuss a Central Plains Water Development grant for the Pierre Water Distribution Study and the South Dakota Department of Transportation will discuss the redesignation of U-S Highway 14 through the city. The Commission will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar then hold a public hearing at 5:45 pm for second reading of ordinance revisions for accessory buildings. Commissioners will also consider approval of a plat change. The Commission will hear about a project to put lights at the city’s pickleball courts and first reading of a budget supplement for those lights. Commissioners will also consider approval of fees for Hillsview Golf Course for 2026, a request to bid for farmland leases and will consider approval of closing out the Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue truck project. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
