The Oahe Capitals would be swept in Sioux Falls this weekend as the Caps would fall to Sioux Falls West on Saturday 7-1 and 6-0 to Sioux Falls East on Sunday evening their record at 2-2.
West would open Saturday with a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period and get its third goal about a minute after an incredible save which could have made the game 2-1. Ayden Behm would get the lone goal of the weekend with Aiden Bauder and Cooper Beastrom getting the assist as the Caps pulled within 3-1. But another two goals in the second and third period would give the Flyers the 7-1 win. Jace Hand would make 45 saves on 52 shots in the game. West improved to 2-0 on the season.
On Sunday, the Caps would give up four goals in the first, three on the powerplay and trailed 4-0 after the first 17 minutes. A short handed goal in the second and even strength goal in the third would have the running clock enacted as the Caps were unable to score against Lincoln Turner as he finished with a 13 save shutout. Noah Lueking would make 30 saves on 36 shots in the loss. East is now 3-0 on the season.
The Capitals will have next weekend off before traveling to Sioux Center on Saturday and Sunday December 13-14.
