Rapid City Post 22 will have one more year with manager Kelvin Torve as he will step aside after the 2026 summer, but will still be a part of the program, Post 22 announced on its Facebook page early this month.
Torve is a former Post 22 player and played collegiately at Oral Roberts University before than having a 13 year professional career including three seasons in the MLB including the Minnesota Twins and New York Mets. Torve was teammates in Japan with Ichiro Suzuki. Over his tenure with Post 22, Torve has compiled a 377-142 record and three state championships.
Post 22 has already started a search for a new manager for the 2027 summer.
