PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a Pierre man killed in a one-vehicle crash two miles east of Blunt on Friday. The preliminary crash investigation shows 78 year-old Leslie Edwin Wulf of Pierre was driving a 2026 G-M-C Sierra pickup east on U-S Highway 14 around 6:45 pm near mile marker 252 when pickup exited the road surface to the south. From there, the pickup vaulted over Rapid City, Pierre and Eastern railroad tracks where it rolled over, coming to rest on its passenger side. Wulf was pronounced dead at the scene. Wulf was using a seat belt at the time of the crash. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing it’s investigation of the crash. The Highway Patrol has not indicated why Wulf’s vehicle may have left Highway 14 in causing the crash. The Patrol also released the name of a second man who died in a separate crash Friday in Brookings County. In that crash 50 year-old Eric Henderson of Arlington was killed in a head-on crash with 20 year-old Christopher Sipara Brookings.
