One of the elite runners in the state will be heading to South Dakota State next year as Emery Larson would sign her National Letter of Intent to run Cross Country and Track and Field.
Larson has been one of the premier runners in the state over the last four years will be continuing her academic and athletic career as a Jackrabbit. She is a two time, Class B cross country state champion running for Chester Area her freshman and sophomore year and has set state records in Class B with a 5k time of 18:21 and 18:15 over her time with Chester. Larson says going to South Dakota State made sense because she wants to be a part of the culture…
In addition to running cross country, she will be a part of the track and field team and Larson says finding the balance of training will be beneficial…

Larson will be studying sports nutrition and dietetics which was another reason to be at SDSU.
