FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. City officials will present updates to the Council before Council members consider agenda items. The Council will get and update on progress with the pipe replacement on Waldron Street and will consider approval of a pay application for the 2025 crack and chip seal project. The Council will also consider the appointment of an acting Financial Officer and authorized to sign with Trak Time Railroad. Council members will consider approval of a certificate of final completion for the city storage buildings and a final pay application for those buildings along with resolution for a plat change. The Council will introduce an ordinance to amend the appointment and terms of certain city employees by the Council, 2026 liquor license renewals, final reading of the utility budget and a discussion on the alley behind the Stanley County Courthouse and Dakotamart. Other agenda items include discussion on city park and pool improvements and setting a public hearing for a temporary liquor license. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm.
