FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — With only weeks until the 2025 work completion date, weather continues to be a factor work crews are paying attention too. T-J Gallagher with Morris Incorporated says crews are on the hustle to finish paving Capitol Avenue this week…
Gallagher says cooler fall temperatures are now the biggest weather challenge facing crews…
Some work will remain but traffic will be free flowing by November 21st…
Crews will have to come back in the spring and install permanent traffic striping and lane markers. The cooler temps will make it difficult for the permanent markings to stay connected to the pavement.
