Senior Caleb Morris would get a ninth place finish at the Class AA state run for the Pierre Governors, having the best finish of any Governor in Huron on Saturday.
The run gets an All-State honor for Morris would ran 15:55 to close out his Governor cross country career. Emery Larson for the Governor girls, would place 19th medaling to close out her cross country career with a 19:14 as senior Gwen Richter would place 34th, seventh grader Larissa Renemans, 37th, sophomore Devyn Van Roekel 47th, senior Charlee Williams-Smith 55th, seventh grader Nevaeh Gutenkauf 86th and junior Elaina Rounds 87 as the girls team would score a total of 190 points to place seventh as a team.
The Governor boys would get junior Daniel Mason in 69th, freshman Camden Lamb in 100th, junior James Stolley in 101st, sophomore Shane Jones in 108, freshman Jett Kirschenmann in 110 and junior Tryton Parmely in 112. Pierre would finish in 16th place as a team.
