The Highmore-Harrold Pirates would come in to Fort Pierre on Friday night and knock off the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes in a sweep with scores of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-20.
The loss drops Stanley County to 6-19 with just one game left in the regular season when the Jones County Coyotes come to town on Tuesday. The win for the Pirates moves them to 15-11 and will close the season at home as well on Tuesday, but will host the top team in Region 6A, the Miller Rustlers. Stanley County was able to hang tough in all three sets, but the Pirates won its fourth in a row and six of the last seven, playing some of its best volleyball to close out the regular season.
Stanley County hosts Jones County in the final game of the season on Tuesday with first serve around 7:30 at the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
