The Pierre Governor volleyball team would not be able to win a set against the Huron Tigers this year being swept twice, this time on Tuesday in Huron 25-13, 25-14 and 25-11.
The Governors were outhit again 33-14 and had more errors, 18, than kills in the match. Marena Buschbom would lead the Governors with four kills while Alexis Schlekeway had three and Sloane Waldron and Alyssa Loe each having two. Pierre also did not have an ace in the match. Huron improves to 9-10 on the season and were led by Jaelee Olsen who had seven kills with Arian Pfitzer having six and Addyson Knight and Aly Davis each having five for the Tigers who have now won four in a row and five of six dating back to the first Pierre win.
Pierre falls to 3-13 on the season and will have its final road game of the season coming up on Friday when they take on the O’Gorman Lady Knights in Sioux Falls. Coverage of the night begins at 6:00 with first serve at 6:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
