PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A proclamation in special business will kick off the meeting for Veterans of Foreign Wars Buddy Poppy Day Commissioners will follow with approval of a six-item consent calendar. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for the application of alcohol licenses for the new Shel’s Market store on North Garfield Avenue. The licenses are for retail on-off sale malt beverage and South Dakota Farm Wine and a package off-sale liquor license. Commissioners will consider an amendment to a lease with River Cities Public Transit and will consider an agreement with Norby Golf Course Design. The Commission will consider a new lease agreement with Midwest Turf and Irrigation for Golf and Park Department equipment. Other agenda items include a request to purchase a CAT skid-steer loader for the Parks Department; a use agreement with the Pierre Swim Team for the Aquatic Center and an engineering agreement for the guardrail project. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
