The Pierre Governor volleyball team will be on the road again tonight as they face the Huron Tigers in a rematch from just two weeks ago when the Tigers swept the Governors in Pierre.
Huron is starting to get on a roll as they’ve won three straight and four of five dating back to the match against the Governors. Huron has wins over Rapid City Central, Roosevelt and most notably the Jefferson Cavaliers, beating them in four sets in Sioux Falls last Thursday. The schedule gets much tougher to finish the season after tonight as all three remaining teams will be ten games over .500 or nearly there in Mitchell, O’Gorman and Brandon Valley. Pierre is at 3-12 after the four set loss to Yankton last Thursday. Pierre is currently on the outside looking in at the top 16 and will need wins to jump back into the top 16.
Coverage tonight begins at 6:00 with a first serve scheduled for 6:30 at the Huron Arena on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
