PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Pierre woman is reaching out through social media hoping to find someone special with some-thing special, a kidney. Hannah Wagoner, on Facebook, says she was hoping to not ask for assistance via social media, but sleepless night, support from friends and endless amounts of love and grace encouraged her to reach out looking for a possible kidney donor. Wagoner has end stage kidney failure and a kidney transplant is one of her last options. A living kidney donor is needed to help Wagoner. Her post points out that a single kidney is all that is needed to live a full life and every human has two. The testing process to see if you are eligible to donate is completely voluntary and 100-percent confidential. All of the medical costs associated with removal of a donor kidney are covered by Wagoner’s transplant team. She points out the only real cost to a possible donor is their time.
