PIERRE, (KCCR) — It will be one of the shortest agendas for the Pierre City Commission to date. There are no action items on this week’s agenda for new or unfinished business. The only business for the Commission to consider tonight is approval of a short, three-item consent calendar; an agenda item that carries largely non-controversial items that can be approved with a single vote. Items are permitted to be removed from a consent calendar. On tonight’s calendar are payment of claims, approval of meeting minutes from the September 30th meeting and setting a public hearing on October 21st at 5:45 pm for applications for retail on-off sale malt beverage, South Dakota Farm Wine and Package off-sale liquor licenses for the new Shel’s Market, currently under construction in the 1900 block of Garfield Avenue North. The meeting may be slightly longer if anyone attends the meeting to provide public comment or if the agenda is amended to add an item. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the community.
