A veteran lineup for the North Central Thunder used solid net play, and took advantage of Charger mistakes as North Central rolled to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-14 sweep in Onida Tuesday night.
The Thunder used long rallies, paired with solid hitting from Ella Batie and Amree VanderVorst to keep the Chargers off balance. Sully Buttes had strong performances from Jadyn Jaeger, and-once again-Scottlynn Kinney, but had too many hitting errors that racked up North Central points in all three sets. Service errors also did in Sully Buttes, who committed seven to four for North Central. The 12-6 Thunder have another road contest Thursday, traveling to Timber Lake to take on the Panthers. Sully Buttes, now 3-11 have a road contest Thursday at Sunshine Bible Academy, followed by the CSDC Tournament in Gettysburg Saturday.
The next broadcast of Charger volleyball is two matches next week in Onida during Homecoming Week. Tuesday, the Chargers host Gettysburg and Thursday, the Philip Lady Scotties come to Onida. Both games can be heard on Country 95.3FM and you can watch on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports.
