PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Pierre woman has been sentenced to time in the federal prison system for possession child sexual abuse material, known as C-SAM. U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says U-S District Judge Eric Schulte sentenced 23 year-old Mickenzie Tucker to seven years of prison with five years of supervised release after the prison term. Tucker was first indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of Possession of Child Pornography in June of 2024. She pleaded guilty this past June. Ramsdell says from July of 2023 to February of 2024 Tucker received and distributed C-SAM using instant messaging and social media platforms like Discord and Wicker. Law enforcement began their investigation of Tucker in September of 2023 based off of CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In February of 2024 a search warrant was executed at Tucker’s Pierre residence where multiple electronic devices were seized that contained C-SAM. Tucker will have to forfeit the devices found by police. She was ordered to self-report to the U-S Marshals Service to begin her sentence by October 6th.
