The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team would be in Huron on Tuesday and the Governor dance team would take home second place with the cheer team placing sixth overall.
The Governor cheer team would get a 220.5, finishing 23 points out of fifth place and ahead of seventh place, host Huron, by 15 points. Brookings would win the team score with a 266.5.
On the dance side, Pierre would win the pom category with a score of 243, beating out Washington by six points. The Govs would place third in the hip-hop division at 236 with Washington scoring a 256 and Harrisburg a 274, but the second place finish for Washington in the category would not be enough to pass Pierre as they both finish at 38 points to tie for second while Harrisburg, winning both categories of hip-hop and jazz would get 40 points to win the day.
