
PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting Tuesday afternoon at the Hughes County Courthouse. The Commission will consider approval of the agenda, minutes and claims before getting into the bulk of a fairly short, eight-item agenda. Two public hearings are set for three-pm. One is for the proposed 2026 budget while the second is for the Hughes County Five-Year Highway Plan. The Commission will also consider the surplus and sale of county property and pre-bridge letting documents for the Slaba Bridge. Commissioners will also consider a moving permit request and a property tax trust agreement before hearing personnel considerations and tenure certificates and reports from Department heads and Commission liaisons. The Hughes County Commission meets at three-pm in the second floor Commission chambers. The meeting is open to the community.
