The Stanley County Buffaloes continued what they finished last Friday, this time defeating the Redfield Pheasants on Homecoming, rolling to a 42-6 win to get back to .500
Stanley County wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Brenden Bothwell would get a touchdown just 12 seconds into the game to lead 6-0 before a Landon Bame touchdown to put the Buffs up 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Buffs would get a touchdown from Joe Malm to go up 22-0 and Weston Prince adding a score before a second touchdown from Bame as the Buffs had the running clock at the half, leading 36-0. Bothwell would add a second touchdown and the Buffs were just one score and a two point conversion from ending the game early with a 42-0 lead. Redfield would get a score in the final minute from Connor Zens to disrupt the shutout, but the Buffs dominated to a second straight win and improving to 2-2 on the season in the final home game of the regular season.
Stanley County will start its final four games, all on the road, in Gregory on Friday. The Gorillas are now 2-2 after a 49-18 loss to Bon Homme. Kickoff is at 7:00.
