The Pierre Governor offense scored on six of nine possessions overall, the defense was stout once again and the Governors beat the defending 11AA state champions, Watertown Arrows 41-19 Friday night.
The game would be scoreless at the end of the first quarter, but the Governor offense scored 21 points in the second to lead 21-7 at the break as Porter Hunsley had a pair of one yard touchdown plunges and Carter Schiefelbein had a 35 yard touchdown catch after Will Eilers would force a fumble and Hudson Shaffer would fall on it. Keya Ducheneaux would get the century mark on the ground with a touchdown run while Lincoln Dilges had a 60 yard touchdown reception and Jerran Deal had his first varsity touchdown reception as Kaleb Lounsbury went for nearly 300 yards through the air as the offense broke out of their shell in a big way to putting it to the Arrows who fall to 0-3 on the season. The Govs led by 28 twice until Lincoln Schutt would get a final touchdown run as time expired as he had all three scores for the Arrows.
