
PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Department of Transportation and South Dakota Aeronautics Commission has been reaching out to airports across the state to gauge interest in operating aviation weather camera. If approved to move forward, it’s not likely the cameras would be installed for this upcoming winter season…
Airports in Aberdeen, Gregory, Sisseton, Wagner, Watertown and Yankton had all responded favorably to the camera at the August 21st meeting. At that time, the airports in Eagle Butte, Chamberlain and Winner had not given responses. Other airports considered for cameras include Custer, Huron, Parkston, Pine Ridge, Rosebud and Spearfish.
