The Stanley County Buffaloes will be at home again tonight as they take on the Leola/Frederick Titans looking for the first win of the season with much better conditions tonight.
Even with the turf field, the rain and weather which came through Friday still made things difficult for the Buffaloes offensively as they were shutout by Parkston 40-0. The Trojans ran the football while the Buffs wanted to spread things out and run and gun, and the weather impacted the play for the Buffs. Max Foth, head coach of the Stanley County Buffaloes says the weather did play a huge part in the game last week but going into this week, the better weather can be a benefit for the Buffs…
Leola/Frederick comes in at 1-1 on the season with a 32 point win to open the season, but were beat 36-6 last Friday against Britton-Hecla. Foth says the Titans have a good identity of running the wishbone type offense…
Foth jokes the biggest key is to have clear skies on Friday, but overall says they need to take care of the football and win the turnover battle…
Kickoff from Ole Williamson Field for Senior Night is at 7:00 tonight.
