FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Lottery and a Fort Pierre store made someone’s pocketbook a little heavier over the Labor Day weekend. On Sunday, a second place prize was won in the South Dakota Lottery’s Lucky for Life game. The winning ticket was purchased at the DakotaMart store in Fort Pierre. The winning numbers were 13,14, 19,25 and 28 with a Lucky Ball of Six. The second place prize in the Lucky for Life game is the option of 25-thousand dollars a year for the remainder of the player’s life or a one-time payment of 390-thousand dollars. Lottery officials advise the winner to sign the back of the ticket and consult with a financial planner before claiming the prize. The winner on Sunday is the 10th Lucky for Life second prize winner since the game began in the state in 2017. The prize can be claimed at a South Dakota Lottery redemption center. Such a location is in Pierre at 711 East Wells Avenue. Seventy-percent of net revenue from lottery games goes to the state’s General Fund, which support schools while the remaining 30-percent goes to the Capital Construction fund.
