The Pierre Governor golf team traveled to Rapid City on Thursday for its second meet of the week and finished in sixth place as a team with four top 20 individual finishes.
The Governors were led by Rigley Kulesa, the first time he has been the lowest scorer for the Govs in his first year at varsity. Kulesa would shoot 10 over par, 82 to tie for 12th, just nine shots back of the leader, Hayden Heig and Andrew Levine of St. Thomas More. Tate Stoeser would tie for 18th at 11 over par, 83 while both Josh Luidahl and Ryker Edson would be at 12 over, 84 tying for 20th. Caleb Hutton would be a shot behind them at 13 over, 85 and Matt Mosteller would finish at a 96 for the six Governors.
Pierre would place sixth at 45 over par, just four shots back of Rapid City Central and within 10 shots of getting up to third place. St. Thomas More would win by six shots over second place Spearfish at 21 over par.
The Governors will travel to Aberdeen on Tuesday next week for the lone invite of the week.
