The Sully Buttes Chargers volleyball team will be on the road to open the 2025 season tonight as they take on the Jones County Coyotes down in Murdo.
The Chargers are looking to restart after last year when Sully Buttes went just 4-24 overall falling as the eight seed in the quarterfinals of the region tournament. The Chargers graduate just four seniors from last year’s young team and will also have a new head coach this year. Randy Pool, who will be making his second stint as head coach, takes over for the 2025 year. Pool says he was nervous getting back into the position but once practice got rolling, it was all back to him…

Jones County went 15-15 last year but return much of their power from last year as all four of their attackers who had over 100 kills last year are back including Addison Rankin, for her senior year. The Coyotes also return their setter, Jacey Jensen as Jones County wants a year like 2022 when they went 30-2, but this time making the state tournament in Class B. Pool says this beginning stretch of the season is going to be tough, but can lead to a lot of success with wins out of the gate and the community will continue to support…
