The Sioux Falls Little League will continue to fight another day at Williamsport, Pennsylvania with a 9-0 win on Tuesday over Washington in an elimination game.
Sioux Falls had lost on Monday to put themselves in the elimination games for the remainder of the tournament, but bounced back with a big sixth inning to breathe easy in the final three outs. After leading 1-0 through five innings, South Dakota struck for eight runs to put the game away, even though Max Snoozy was dominant again on the mound as he finished another scoreless outing, this time only getting through one out in the sixth as he struck out 14 of the 16 outs recorded. He allowed three hits and two walks as he has 25 strikeouts in two games at the Little League World Series.
It’s another elimination game today for Sioux Falls as they face South Carolina at 6:00 Central Time as they are one of four remaining teams for the United States at the World Series.
