Wednesday, the All-State teams would be announced for Class A American Legion and Ridge Leimbach would be the lone Post 8 member as he makes the second team for 2025.
Only Eli Kokenge of Harrisburg was a unanimous All-State recipient as a total of 28 athletes make up the two teams in Class A. Leimbach was dominant on the mound this summer with just a 1.14 ERA in 24 and two thirds innings pitching in five games in total with four starts. He had just four earned runs allowing 13 hits and struck out 35 which is around one and a half strikeouts per inning. His batting average against was just .157 and was consistently throwing against the best teams and the other team’s best. The Emporia State commit also hit .311 with seven doubles, a team high five triples and a home run, driving in a team high 29 runs, tying with Sutton Sonnenschein. Leimbach helped lead the Eights to an 18-16 record getting back to the state tournament for the first time since 2022.
