The Sioux Falls Little League is back in the Little League World Series as they will be the final game of day two to open up its tournament facing a team from Pennsylvania.
Sioux Falls is in Williamsport, Pennsylvania after winning the Midwest Regional Tournament last week Friday coming back to beat North Dakota, after losing to them a couple of days prior. They get to be as almost a true road team as possible in its first game when they take on the Glenmoore Eagle Little League, just two and a half hours from Williamsport. A total of 20 teams from around the world compete for the title with 10 from the United States and 10 international teams. While Sioux Falls could only face an international team if they reach the third place game or championship, they will get to interact and become friends with kids from Chinese Taipei, Australia, Canada, Aruba, Czechia, Japan, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama and Puerto Rico.
It’s a double elimination tournament until the United States and International Championship Games which will be played on Saturday, August 23 with the Little League World Series Championship game on Sunday, August 24. Sioux Falls will play on Thursday at 6:00 Central time, the final game of the day and would play again on Monday with a win, or play again on Saturday in an elimination game, both game times would be 6:00. All games will be on the ESPN TV Networks.
