PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal building. Another fairly light agenda is coming before the Commission tonight. First up is approval of a three-item consent calendar including minutes from the August 5th meeting, claims and a raffle request filed by Hillsview Golf Course. The agenda is vacant of unfinished business, but includes a handful of items of new business. Commissioners will consider a street closure request for Governor’s Drive between Church Street and Broadway Avenue by the T-F Riggs Band. The brief, one-hour closure gives the band practice in real-world environment and has been approved multiple times in recent years by the Commission. The Commission will consider a request to surplus a 1992 Airport Rescue Fire Fighting truck, renewal of the Ignition operating platform software and Commissioners will hear more subsidy requests. This week the Commission will get presentations from Capital City Campus, the Community and Youth Involved Center of Fort Pierre, Convention and Visitor’s Center and Pierre Area Chamber Community Room. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
