Thursday night, preseason football would be back in action after the Hall of Fame Game last weekend. Grey Zabel and the Seattle Seahawks played their first game, tying the Las Vegas Raiders 23-23.
Zabel played 19 snaps in his NFL debut and the words used were dominating and impressive in his debut. He started with most of last year’s starters, except those with some early season injuries. It’s a very promising start for the Pierre Governor who will most likely see limited action over the next two games as they prepare for the season opener on Sunday, September 7 against the San Francisco 49ers.
In the game, Seattle led 16-3 at the break and Las Vegas scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to comeback and tie the game and had a chance to win it, but the field goal was blocked as time expired in the fourth quarter and no overtime was played leaving the game tied in the first preseason contest.
Seattle will play next Friday night at home again, hosting the Kansas City Chiefs with a 9:00 Central time kickoff.
