PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Department of Transportation is preparing for work in Jackson County near an Interstate-90 exit. Starting Monday, work will begin on westbound I-90 at exit 150 and the South Dakota Highway 73 overpass in Kadoka. The west concrete bridge girders are set for repair. A single west bound lane on I-90 will be established between the on-and-off ramps while a southbound lane on the overpass will be closed. Stop signs will control traffic over the bridge. Meanwhile, crews have completed work on South Dakota Highway 47. That highway was closed in July for work along it from Highway 49 to Highway 44. Work will continue on Highway 47 from the 47/49 junction north to Interstate 90 at Reliance. The Kadoka project has an estimate cost of 113-thousand dollars while the Highway 47 project had an estimated cost of 21-point-two million dollars.
