
FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County Commission is meeting for it’s August meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. Commissioners will hear the Treasurer and Auditor Report and will hear budget requests from the Community and Youth Involved Center, Fort Pierre Fire Department and Pierre Area Referral Service. The Commission will meet in executive session to discuss personnel maters then reconvene to consider an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Board. Commissioners will meet with Stanley County Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal to discuss the 4-H Finals Rodeo. Other agenda items for the Stanley County Commission include consideration of a haying lease, meeting with Highway Superintendent Lee Smith, a resolution regarding a blanket speed limit and consideration of the provisional county budget for 2026. The Stanley County Commission is also scheduled to meet in executive session for personnel at the end of the meeting. The Stanley County Commission meets at five-pm in the basement commission room. The meeting is open to the public.
