U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says 37 year-old Scott Reiners will serve 12 years and four months in federal prison for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. A one-thousand dollar fine, 200-dollar assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund and five years of supervised release are also a part of the sentenced handed down by U-S District Judge Eric Schulte last week. Reiners helped to distribute between five and 15 kilograms of meth. Reiners was stopped by law enforcement where authorities seized 254 grams of 97-percent pure methamphetamine and a handgun. Reiners was prohibited from having the handgun due too three prior federal felony convictions.
