The Independence League season is beginning to wind down and the Oahe Zap are making a push to the playoffs with a strong second half record and will host the Fremont Moo for a three game series starting tonight.
The season is down to the final nine games for the Zap with five of the nine at home and three will be played over the next three days. The Zap are 15-5 since June 21 which stopped an eight game skid. Now, the, the Zap will look to finish the regular season strong and get a chance to face Spearfish in the championship series, who have already clinched a spot after winning the first half of the season. Oahe will travel to Spearfish this weekend on Saturday and Sunday before then facing the Moo in Fremont next Monday and Tuesday for the final four road games of the season.
First pitch tonight is at 6:05 from Hyde Stadium in Pierre.
