Pierre Police Investigating Shooting Death Of Fort Pierre Teen

PIERRE, (KCCR) — Pierre police are investigating a shooting that has left a 14 year-old Fort Pierre male dead. Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says officers were called to a shooting incident in the 29-hundred block of East Green Street in Pierre around 2:45 Tuesday afternoon. The gunshot victim was discovered with a wound to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional juvenile males were at the residence at the time of the shooting. Pelle says no charges have been filed as the case remains under investigation. Because of the ages of the subjects involved, no names are being released. East Green Street is located between South Arthur and South Roosevelt Avenue in southeast Pierre just west of the Solem Public Safety Center. A Pierre police unit could be seen providing security at the scene Wednesday morning.
