Rare Wednesday Night Meeting Tonight For Pierre School Board

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding a rare Wednesday meeting tonight. Meetings for the Board are usually on the second Monday of a month. July is the Board’s annual reorganizational meeting where a new president and vice president will be selected along with other annual appointments, confirmations and the administration of oaths for Joan Adam and Jessica Lewis. The Board will go through an annual presentations on open meetings and will discuss goals for the 2025-26 school year. The Board will also consider action on school meal prices for the next school year. Board members will consider action on the Fiscal Year 25-26 budget and final action will be considered on the Special Education Comprehensive Plan, Riggs Student and Administrator’s handbooks. The Board will also consider action on two audit reports and on open enrollments, donations, contracts and resignations. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the District Administration Building on Poplar Avenue.
