PIERRE, (KCCR) — There is a changing of the guard tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Robin Lerseth and Matthew T. Reitzel will take the Oath of Office to begin new, three-year terms on the Pierre City Commission. The Commission will consider approval of a three-item consent calendar before moving onto the main agenda. In unfinished business, the Commission wll consider action on two plat change requests and will hold two public hearings at 5:45 pm. One is on a petition request to vacate a part of Legacy Avenue while the second is for an airport lease with SkyWest Airlines. In new business, the Commission will consider an agreement with the State Aeronautics Board for financial assistance with the airport’s firefighting truck and a design services agreement for a taxiway project. Commissioners will consider a street closure request filed by the Militiamen Veterans Motorcycle Club, a change order for aggregate base course and proposed changes to the city’s personnel policy. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
